Label Shape Design
Adapt to the bottle body contour: For round bottles, rectangular labels can be designed to surround the bottle body, or circular or oval labels can be used to echo the shape of the bottle body; for square bottles, square or rectangular labels are more appropriate; if the bottle body is in an irregular shape, such as having arcs, grooves or protrusions, the shape of the label should be customized according to the specific characteristics of the bottle body, such as using segmented, special-shaped or bendable shapes to ensure a close fit with the bottle body.
Consider the bottle body size: When the bottle body is large, the size of the label and the font size can be appropriately increased to ensure that the information is clearly visible and visually coordinated; when the bottle body is small, the label needs to be designed to be small and exquisite, and simple patterns and texts should be selected to avoid being too complicated. For the size of the bottle, precise measuring instruments should be used to measure the size of the bottle, and then design the content of the label for this bottle, including the pattern, logo design, etc. Try to make the pattern more beautiful. And try to make the designed logo memorable to consumers, which can well expand the market share and make the product more well-known.
Label Material Selection
Flexibility: For curved or flexible bottle bodies, select label materials with high flexibility and ductility, such as labels made of PE, PP and other materials, which can better adapt to the shape of the bottle body during the fitting process and are not prone to bubbles or wrinkles. If the material of the bottle body is not of particularly high quality, materials with greater flexibility should be selected to fit the bottle body better.
Stretchability: For bottle bodies that may shrink or expand, such as some beverage bottles in different temperature environments, materials with a certain degree of stretchability can be used so that the label can maintain a fit with the bottle body as it changes. Regarding different degrees of stretchability and the changes of the bottle according to the environment, attention should also be paid to the specific size of the label used, which should not be too large or too small.
Adhesiveness: Select label materials with appropriate adhesiveness according to the material of the bottle body and the usage environment. For bottle bodies that are wet, condensing or have an uneven surface, use labels with moisture-proof and anti-slip adhesives to enhance the adhesion performance and ensure that the label is firmly attached. Since different things are filled in the bottles, such as honey, tea, beverages, etc., the material of the label to be used should be determined according to the content in the bottle. Also, the material of the label should be determined according to the material of the bottle. Some bottles have a very smooth surface, and the adhesiveness of ordinary labels may not be strong. Then, materials that can fit such bottle bodies well should be used.
Label Layout and Arrangement
Information grouping: Place important information such as the brand name and product name in prominent positions on the label, and reasonably group and arrange auxiliary information such as ingredients, functions, and usage instructions. For special-shaped bottle bodies or bottle bodies with special designs, the information can be distributed in different areas according to the characteristics of the bottle body to make the label content coordinate with the overall style of the bottle body.
Text direction: Generally, the text direction should be perpendicular or horizontal to the bottle body for easy reading by consumers. However, for some bottle bodies with special shapes, such as inclined or curved bottle bodies, the text direction can be adjusted according to the trend of the bottle body to make it more recognizable. In terms of the text direction, attention should be paid to the size of the text design, and also to which font is more suitable for the tonality of this product.
Patterns and elements: The design of patterns and decorative elements should match the shape of the bottle body. For round bottle bodies, surrounding patterns can be used; for square bottle bodies, symmetrical or regular designs can be adopted for the patterns. Avoid using overly complicated patterns that conflict with the bottle body to prevent affecting the overall effect.
Color Matching
Coordinate with the bottle body: The color of the label should be coordinated with the color of the bottle body and complement each other. You can choose color systems similar to the color of the bottle body to create a fused and unified visual effect; or use contrasting colors to highlight the label content, but pay attention to the intensity and coordination of the contrast to avoid being too dazzling.
Reflect the brand and product characteristics: Select appropriate colors according to the brand positioning and product characteristics. For example, high-end products can use simple and elegant pure colors or metallic colors; products for children can use bright and lively colors.
Labeling Process and Technology
Adaptive labeling technology: Use labeling equipment with an elastic labeling head or adjustable labeling rollers, which can automatically adapt to the curved surface or curved shape of the bottle body during the labeling process to ensure that the label is evenly attached.
Visual inspection and positioning: Use cameras and sensors to scan the shape and position of the bottle body before labeling, and automatically adjust the angle and position of the label. During the labeling process, the position of the label is monitored in real time, and any deviation or misalignment is automatically corrected.
